Well said, Sebastian. America has a notorious history of being very repressed when it comes to anything relating to sexuality. I have to wonder if that's why today's younger generation are breeding STDs (and children) at alarmingly growing rates. When you make something so tantalizingly taboo, I guess it can be hard to resist.

We also have a huge obsession with the "nuclear family", and anything that doesn't perfectly fit the mold is considered too progressive, liberal, unnatural, etc. I think Tiger's actions are abhorrent, but that's because they go against my own morals. However in a perfect world, people would stay the hell out of the personal lives of others. Unfortunately that's just not the case here in the States. Your dirty laundry is EVERYONE's business - and the more famous you are, the worse it gets.

(Disclaimer: This post isn't so much directed at your post, but more a commentary on the whole situation)

Once again America proves itself to be a nation that *desperately* needs to get laid.

Seriously: I absolutely agree that men get a lot less rap for infidelity than women do (even here in oh-so liberal Europe). And I don't want to sound like someone who *endorses* adultery, or anything. But this hysterical obsession about everything sexual? Only in America.
You know, all that laughter coming from Europe during the Clinton impeachement or "Nipplegate"? Well, we weren't laughing *with* you.
Also: The man's first name is TIGER. What the fuck did you expect? :-D

i was so upset to drive a good hour out of town to our nearest IMAX theater for Harry Potter just to see only the trailers and the first ten minutes in 3D why not just have the whole movie like that so your not adjusting your eyes from 3D to normal.

I think the whole movie is supposed to be in 3D. James Cameron went to far to say that the non-3D version is inferior to the 3D version.

Haha! You are an evil man, Gonzo. =)

Is the entire film in IMAX 3D, or just certain sections? I saw Harry Potter & the Half-Blood Prince on IMAX and only the first 10 minutes or so were 3D, which was fortuitous as it turns out that it gives Spoony headaches. So we might be down for seeing it on IMAX, but not if there's a lot of 3D involved, unfortunately.
