I had no earlier savegame, and calling 2K only got me accusations of tampering on my part. I've still never beaten that game, technically. I blame it on a site I found years ago that offered "alternate walkthroughs" for games like Deus Ex and Arx Fatalis. They managed to make the games a lot more fun by taking advantage of bugs and purposely doing things out of order.
